Real UN Comtrade export and import statistics for economies around the world — updated regularly, sourced transparently.
The trade figures on this page are sourced directly from UN Comtrade, the United Nations' official international trade statistics database, and reflect each country's most recently reported annual export or import totals in US dollars. Where a country has not yet reported data for the latest year, we display the most recent year available and note this clearly on the country's detail page.
Each country appears with separate export and import pages, since these represent two distinct trade flows with their own top trading partners, product categories, and trends — a country's biggest export market is often not the same as its biggest source of imports. "Year-over-year change" compares the most recent reported year to the year before it.
Clicking through to a country's export or import page reveals a full breakdown, including its top trading partners, leading product categories under the Harmonized System (HS) — the international standard used to classify traded goods — and a multi-year trend chart. You may occasionally see partner or category names like "Other Asia, nes" in these rankings; these are standardized statistical groupings used by UN Comtrade for trade that isn't attributed to a single reporting country, not errors in our data.
It's also worth noting that bilateral trade figures reported by two countries about each other rarely match exactly — a well-documented phenomenon known as trade data asymmetry, caused by differences in valuation methods, shipping routes, and reporting timelines between countries. A small number of countries, mostly island nations or those affected by long-term reporting gaps, have limited or no data available; these are marked accordingly rather than showing estimated figures.
